    Default R.I.P. gordon_s1942

It is with great sadness that I inform members of the passing of longtime valued Austech member, Gordon Shannon (gordon_s1942).

I have just spoken with Gordon's son, Paul who said Gordon passed away peacefully in hospital on December 1 2018 due to renal (kidney) failure.

Gordon joined Austech before the 'great server crash' of 2008 and was a regular contributor to the forums, which was one of his favourite pastimes.

I met Gordon several years ago when I travelled to his home in Rydal, NSW to help him sort out his TV reception, a topic he often wrote about.

Gordon had recently turned 76 on 11 November this year.

I have conveyed condolences to Gordon's family on behalf of all of us at Austech.

    R.I.P. Gordon

    RIP Gordon.

I just had a feeling that something had happened, that's why I started the other thread, as he appeared to be MIA.

    He will be missed. Salute.

Very sad. Gordon, you will be missed. Your presence on this forum was one of life's few constants.
