    Default weird noise from motor

i have a 2005 holden combo that 2 days ago started making like a grinding whining noise

so i did the usual inspections

1: car has done 239,000 checked service manual timing belt at 90k intervals
2: checked main belt and nothing found
3: checked pully's to see if any were wobolly but all good
4: motor not overheating or heating up quickly so water pump seems ok

mechanic is away for the holidays so thought i would ask here if anyone has a thought
and if its minor i could just repair -replace etc.

Bearing issue somewhere makes sense. Dried out, no grease would still pass the 'wobble test'.

Use a long screwdriver as a "stethescope" and have a listen to the bearings around the pulleys All you need do is place the screwdriver on a stationary part adjacent the suspect bearing and the gently rest the screwdriver against you ear. If it's the dud, you'll soon hear it.

Edit; Should have said, with the engine running, so be careful!!!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Yeah, sounds like a bearing in a pulley. Replacing one almost always results in failure of others soon IME.

did you take the fan belt off when checking the pulleys? belt on is not a definite check.

After you change it keep an eye on the idler pulleys...
