Applies to Landcruisers and Hilux. Some are doing a temporary repair using one sided foam tape or mastic to force the air thru the filter
Toyotas ain't Toyotas any more, glad i bought a Ranger with a dpf and shit economy
I'm happy with my Rangers fuel economy and I don't have a DPF!! (2014 model)

What's the point in having 6th gear or a locking torque converter then?

They've stuffed up the programming, it should go into sixth and lock up.

This is a new model gearbox, I'd say they rushed it into production.

Yes i know about that one too , the first time to Cape York i just happened to lift the filter out and saw that some had leaked past the filter. The local mechanic up there ( top bloke ) cleaned out the housing and ran rubber grease around the lip of the element , problem solved.
