DVB-T2 and available receivers.
With tests of DVB-T2 running at the moment, are there any receivers available in Australia to receive the test broadcasts?
I am aware of old Igloo set top boxes in NZ which were used to receive the old, now defunct Igloo service which was DVB-T2.
Whether these would work with Australia's non-standard 7 MHz UHF channel allocations, I don't know, as DVB-T2 everywhere else in the world has been deployed on standard 8 MHz channel allocations.
Testing is or has been done in Sydney and I think Melbourne, and Brisbane and Gold Coast this year.

I have two receivers that claim to be DVB-T2 compatible. A cheap Chinese all in one STB and a Satlink WS-6979 finder. But if Mackay doesn't have the service yet, I can't tell you if they work or not.

Most major brand TV's and set tops produced since 2014 come with T2 tuners...>>>
At this time only Laboratory trials have been completed by the ABC and SBS....>>>
