you can talk about it...it's just that people dont know what to talk about. He's asked a legit q.

If you want to talk about it.... I suggest you start talking.
There's been numerous threads and discussions about this now-ancient topic so everything that's known has been discussed and written about already.
I would like know about countermeasure.
All channels(sd, hd) are affect to this problem?
the countermeasure is implemented in all stb?(sd and hd)
I think that, this countermeasure is software, and it can be solved with a good reverse of the cam..
What is the cpu on dsn720?
thank you

If there was any progress on this front it definitely wouldn't be discussed on a public forum.......

I think Foxtel was more popular when there were sellers cards around
But seller cards used the irdeto encryption as far as I know
sharing of NDS cards used to be popular .... until they became married to the foxtel STB ?
irdeto card sharing was also popular ....

I would like know if I use official sd stb, and I insert card in this stb(sd card), I can see channels.
I would like know if there was update of sd stb to work with this..
timb85. There was a thriving satellite scene here before these measures. Even then, the emphasis for a long time had been more on using legitimate cards in superior 3rd party decoders rather than piracy. Now there is relatively little interest outside a few real enthusiasts. People have moved on for very obvious reasons. This may well have happened anyway, just a little more slowly, also for obvious reasons. The countermeasures in place effected both SD and HD channels. During the implementation from memory I think they tried HD first before moving to SD also. Even very old STB's at the time were updated. I doubt there is any effort going on to break these countermeasures, again because people have moved on. Perhaps there is a closed group or groups somewhere who have solved the problem and had the good sense to keep it quiet. Personally I would have expected NDS to use their success here to implement similar countermeasures worldwide, in which case I also expect the countermeasures would quickly have been broken. From the little I have seen (and I'm not particularly that interested) this has not happened. I repeat, virtually everyone has moved on.
If you do wish to persist and maximise the very remote chance that someone who could help you will, I suggest that you be a little more forthcoming. What country are you in? Not Australian is not responsive to that question. What is your interest and your aim? What are you hoping to do? If you are not in Australia how will it help you if you succeed? And more importantly, what is your background and expertise? From your questions I would presume that you are an amateur with little expertise who has simply taken an interest and has a lot to learn.

I would like know, if this countermeasure (black screen in third party stb) affect also sd channels, and if I use box sd like ds250 (official box) with card, I see or I get black screen.
I would like see ecm of sd channel.
thanks
As far as I know you will get a black screen on a third party STB or the ds250 with a foxtel card inserted (unless the card is married to the DS250 STB by a Foxtel over the air update)
I used to have a DS250 foxtel STB and before about 2012-2013 the card would work in a third party STB with the right firmware ....
but after the countermeasure the card will only work in a STB married to the card by Foxtel .... (at their end)
The DS250 STB has since died and the card that was in the DS250 was just put into the Replacement Foxtel STB (DS420NF) and the card was married to the new STB with an over the air update by Foxtel at their end
As far as I know both SD & HD are effected by the countermeasure,
and as far as I know there is no fix or way around the countermeasure
