Bwahahahahaha..........BBC, ABC, LUNACY..........
The western world is certainly in the grip of stupidity psychosis.........
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

its about time to cut all funding to the useless BBC and our leftist ABC / SBS anyway. pack of twits

Rather than worrying about causing offence, they may have been more worried about some form of terrorist retribution similar to the Charlie Hebdo incident. There is a real risk of that being a possibility, with the nutters over there.

That's not what I said. What I did say was, in the light of the Charlie Hebdo incident, openly insulting them was likely to draw more than expected attention from them. Like the old bull to a red flag scenario. And I'm sure England has an ample supply of nutters who would be more than willing to try and make a name for themselves.
They just SCARED OF THEM. FULL STOP.

Sorry Bob. I don't watch the pricks, and have no desire to subsidise your preferred TV viewing.
In fairness I seldom watch even commercial stations these days. Not even the News. I get as much out of a 5 minute radio news bulletin as from an hour of commercials, banal chatter between hosts and weather presenters who think they should be on Broadway.

Being an infidel is already offending but yes making yourself a direct target is plain stupidity, not just with the IS but every criminal.
I watched for about 30min The Ghan on SBS while I was eating something and actually enjoyed it. Might only be me because I do like trains. A while back there was a rather interesting one about the scary trains in India.
I don't mind some Docos on SBS if I am doing something boring or just need a few moments of 'nothing' in my life for relaxation.
Sure beats commercial TV(make me aggressive), yes I know SBS has a couple of ads but more painless.

Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.

I watch quite a few of the series that run on SBS and ABC. They're usually well made, and not just the same old predictable garbage that they run on the other stations. The only drawback is you have to get good at reading subtitles and watching the show at the same time. Because that's about all I view on TV these days, it becomes second nature.
