Yes, the time for debate (all seven pages of it!!!) is over.
Fit the board and report back when the mixer is up-and-running again.
Good to see it comes complete with new cable and connector pre-fitted.
The only thing left after fitting this new board is the motor itself and it needs a bit of maintenance on the commutator at least based on the earlier video.
Hi all,
Fitted the new board and it works fine. Runs like a dream. All the speeds work fine
Skepticist: There were no sparks of any sort (as from the other times of shorting out the Triac). If I had to do some maintenance as you suggest - and before - I put it back together, what could I do without taking anything else apart?

Great news - if it's working 100% now the job is done.
What I noticed earlier was what appeared to be scoring on the commutator but if no excessive sparking is going on now leave it alone.
(You'd need to dismantle the motor completely to address that)
Basically 2 distinct faults found, got to wonder which happened first but that's all history now.
Good to hear it's all good again.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
