    Default Chinese GPS

    Hi
I intend buying a cheap 7” Chinese GPS costing about $100 on Ebay
My problem is that it needs to be installed behind the dash and I will not have access to the on /off button which is mounted on the top of the case
Is it possible to bypass the button so that the unit starts up when the car ignition circuit comes on
Thanks in advance for your help
    Phil

The cheap Chinese GPS I have had have all come on and off when the ignition is switched on and off as long as they are plugged into a switched power supply - check with the seller that the one you are looking at does this.

The issue you will have is if there is a clitch and it stays on running off the internal battery. With the on/off switch hidden you cannot turn it off to reset it (however turning the switched power back on will often reset it). I currently have a Garmin like that.
