    Interesting Analysis with Throttle Traces

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

The old 5 second penalty strikes again.... This time Ricciardo
From finishing 7th, pushed back to 11th

Maybe they need some more walled street circuits

yep, just finished watching it & the after show. Fair penalty.
DR needs to drive within the rules.

    Default Sausage Curbs

Really had to laugh when I heard that the Austrians put sausages on their curbs.
They have been around a while but the name is new to me:

Having a go at the sausages can cost you 100,000€ a hit (with the front wing).
    RedBull already snagged a few.
This, together with Hamilton starting on 4th should make the race a bit more interesting

Looks like all Verstappen needs is hot air, worn tyres and lenient stewards.
No, I would have called for F1 boycott if they had taken his win away, that was RACING!!!
He clearly deserved it, great job and I am happy for his loyal fans.

Leclerc great job too, some Ferrari decisions not so.

Vettel on new soft tyres not even matching Verstappen on worn hards says a lot about Vettel's performance lately.

Best race so far this year, had me nibbling feverishly on the single malt(rather than biting nails), the appropriate drink for that race.

At least congrats to Renault for keeping both cars running for the entire race, well everybody else did too despite all the whinging about the heat.

    yes, great race.
Drive of the day for me was Verstapen closely followed by Norris & Leclerc.
Showed the young gunns are coming.
    Stewards finally let them race.
    Cheers, Tiny

    Good race, boring result.

Mercedes' Sunny Boy Hamilton won out of luck again or was it deliberate to bring in the leader Bottas much too early who had no problem to overtake
    Hamilton before the tyre change.
Had they left Bottas out then we would have REALLY seen who is the better driver and a much more exciting race even in the front row.

Then putting on the same tyres again forcing Bottas to a second stop makes me really want to hate Mercedes.

All part of the CNN / FOX news scripted strategy
The race only made me wonder how well Ricciardo would go if given a podium race car

Well I thought it was a great race all round, some good battles, real racing.
Who would of thought that possible?

bummer for Max that Vettel ended his podium possibility. Still amazed that Max's car finished after being launched like that.
Vettel got 10 seconds penalty, well deserved for that one, but irrelevant after needing a nose cone change.

As for the luck of Hamilton over Bottas, you can't predict a safety car, but you sure can make the best of one.
Everyone has been caught out in that scenario, more than once. Just ask Lando Norris.

Well driven by Ricciardo, showing signs of getting a car he feels comfortable with.
    Cheers, Tiny

Yeah make the nose cone and wings out of rubber with a bit of springy steel inside them !
Should still be some rules though:
Mercedes get 60 sec penalty for being too fast
    4x Title holder must retire.

Very sad. It goes to show that even the safest cars cannot always protect you. Often drivers walk away from such crashes.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

These vehicles can never be considered safe at the speed they travel. There is only so much they can do to reduce the risk but never eliminate it.

When I was watching the Q on Saturday, I thought damn Lucky Lewis gets another break again. Red flag to give enough time to fix his car.

Glad LeClerc won. Pity about Verstappen, would've loved to have seen him on the podium too.
True freedom is the greatest gift a man can possess, yet is the one thing most easily and innocently given away, to crafty curses and binds cleverly disguised as blessings and gifts, in the pursuit of supposed achievement, status and power.
