I would try loctite - Araldite discolours and goes yellow after time
This is my nephew's huge TV. There's no wonder it had leopard spots ha ha
Thought I might use Loctite CA glue to fit the lens back. What do you think ? ... I'm not worries about frosting from the CA because it will be behind the light source, but the LED temperature is a different matter.
or the other choice would be slow setting Araldite.
I do wonder how hot these LED's get.

Yeah good thought but I'm not concerned about yellowing either, for the same reason that it's behind the light source.
Each lens has three tiny legs as standoff's about 0.5mm long x 1.5mm diameter. The spots of glue required are only pin head size. It could be a problem just to dispense such a small amount so I think a toothpick is in order here.
I bit the bullet and used Araldite high strength. That gave me plenty of time to work a batch of adhesive before it starts to go off.
The TV is fixed and the backlights are now evenly spread across the screen.
The nephew is lucky the TV was even working. I found one of the HDMI connectors floating around on the mainboard and could have easily shorted something out. A bit heavy handed there I think.
