newby from NSW first time post long time reader

just needing some help installing keys
i have installed 7 algos for my xts 5000 and pondering what next
obviously i need keys to listen in on emergency services and i know thats not happening
but what else is out there thats still interesting to just sit back and listen to whilst
cooking a bbq or reading the paper

Where about in NSW? What are you interested in? What split is the XTS5K?

Listening options using that radio are rather limited. Unless you have a specific need for that radio you would be better served with a scanner that can do a wide range of frequencies, as well as P25, DMR and NXDN.

The ACMA frequency register would be a good place to search for local frequencies.

I'm not sure that he was looking for help here, I read that these were his interests and commenting on areas where his expertise does not lie. Sorta like a bloke with his first car, I know that oil goes somewhere but have no real idea what it does.
