    Default Ie7 Problem,help

hi all once again need some help off the pros,im setting up a pc for my brother, anyway when you go on the net it goes straight to telstra bigpond home page, but if you try to go ,say into my bigpond,or enter goole or anything in the search bar and hit search or enter, and it keeps saying internet explorer has a problem and needs to shut down.
so it seems to be a program problem, not internet connection,as it takes you to the telstra web page, but cant go any further.
any help as always is greatly appreciated.

    Dan

IE sucks, almost as bad as vista
Is this a new connection? Modem?
Check the telstra page for your modem config.

Maybe a little off topic but I just installed IE8 Beta 2. It is a lot more stable than the original Beta version. It seems to work faster with SP3 than IE7 did.
    Just my observations.
