    Default Headlight Lamp Temperature Range

I need to buy the Mrs some replacement Xenon HID lamps for her car
The OEM product is a DS2 4300K (Osram or Philips, i forget which)

There are many no name brand versions for sale, but they are all 6000K, which i found horrible in other applications, no penetration, poor contrast, harder on your eyes. But they are $20 a pair.

Just interested i what others here have found?
What temperature lamp do you like when driving?

Have you tried cheaper lamps or stuck with the brand names (hard to tell if they are not clones these days)
    Cheers
