Plants, with exception of a few carnivorous plants don't eat animals, bacteria does that.

However the "vegebrains" as you call them may be lacking Carnosine which acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain. A pure Vegan diet contains practically 0% Carnosine.

Yes, bacteria do break down the meat, but it eventually finds its way into the soil as nutrients. It's all part of the cycle of life. Some people do eat a vegetarian diet for health reasons, problem is, there are those who have NO IDEA who tend to be the noisiest, and the most ignorant!
