    Default Asiasat 5 RAI Disappeared

Just got a call from mum that RAI has stopped working. Other channels on 3700 v 30000 no problem. Can someone confirm if Rai is still working.

Transponder C2V .. 3700 V is down by about 1.2 dB. Meaning no signal on most 1.8m dishes. With a little tweaking.. 2.3m still pulls in the signal at a lower quality but still OK.
In another development the Spanish TVE looks like migrating to C6H 3840 H.. it is now running on both TP's.

The signal coming down from the Sat for RAI has definitely dropped, it was not that long ago that I did a very precise fine tune of my father in laws' setup to ensure a maximum signal level - it is no longer being received timing wise since the same recent reports from others here.

Weather and my health position is stopping me from getting up and have a go to tune again, but my gut feeling is that this is a waste of time... this dish involved is also 2.3m

Still coming in here in NE Vic quite well (2.4 mesh).....must be in a sweet spot.

Or maybe it knows that the area is still crawling with Italians from the old tobacco-growing days

Signal has dropped in the south east. Italian and Portuguese audience (most in their 90th) have been effected. 2.3m owners recovered signal after a technician attended, replacing LNB and dish realignment got them going. some of solid metal 1.8 with a decent LNB are working.

Spanish audience tuning to TVE International, need their receiver re tuned as TVE has migrated to 3840 Horizontal.

Just checked 12 18 PM on Monday the 17th, I get both TVE and RAI on 3700V with no issues and it locks immediatey on a 2.3M dish using a Ultimo 4K box, I watch these channels most of the time for many years and rarely have issue with them .

For some reason I'm having issue with 3840 H yet I get a average good signal lot better than 3700. The Picture on 3840 pixelates at lot and takes a while to lock on and its unwatchable because of the pixelation.

The FEC 3/4 on 3700 V is more forgiving than the 5/6 on 3840 H.. it need higher MER. In saying that it still comes in good on the 2.3m Dynasat dish.

yes was locking up yesterday. I have to remember 5/6 is worse than 3/4 on a smaller dish

Most of this is accessible from NE Vic........although you might struggle with some of them with a 1.8m..........a 2.4m will bring in most of them OK.

Asiasat 7 has some reasonable international channels.....RT, Al Jazeera, NHK, TRT, DW....all English and FTA.......also a couple of Powervu channels if you have the means.

    Default HELP... newbie

Hi all, over the last week in SA, only audio on Rai.

Got into Powers M406 box menu and may have stuffed things up because now even audio (and other channels) GONE...:

    Satellite: C_AsiaSat5 (100.5E)
    Transponder: 3700/V/30000/3/4
    LNB Type: 10700 (changed accidentally?)
    LNB Power: 13V/18V (as above!)
    22KHz: Off (as above!)
    DiSeqC1.0: None
    DiSeqC1.1: None
    Motor: DiseqC1.2
    Scan mode: All Channels
    Start search: Blind Search

    Strength: 98%
    Quality: 00%

2.3m dish with Edon 2150 box... help please? Installer retired and unavailable.
