I missed that due to being away. Wow that's unusual. I was expecting it to be a car accident involving a deer which is happening more regularly now.

Was at a mates place over this weekend in Bundeena, just south of Sydney. There are deer and stags just roaming the streets there - and they are massive. Hadn’t been that close to a deer for a long while, and after seeing them up close it’s not something I’d like to pick a fight with.

There are many Deer in the Royal National Park. I never saw any roaming the streets of Bundeena, but remember back when I was in my teens there used to be many of them around Garie Beach which is only a little South. They are large creatures and I agree that I would not want to pick a fight with one, but they are also very timid. I can't recall ever seeing a report of a Deer attacking someone.

    Just horrific

    8:20am, probably normal feed time
Husband is attacked and killed (that would not be in a pretty way either)
Then the wife jumps in, she is attacked
Then the teenage son races in with a lump of wood to hit the deer to save his mum

Like FFS.... Most people are still walking around with their coffee in their hand at that hour.
Wonder if it was a fight for mating rights or something?

    Poor family
