Jesus, this would be frightening
That would have been moments away from a certain death

Bloody hell, they were so lucky
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
The whole episode is an indictment of media and public obsession with sensationalist bullsh!t that does nothing but ruin lives.
Great statement that. Something that I am sad to say we have never learned from and are destined to repeat as we move into a world of intolerant and violent left influenced do-gooder social media....
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.
When did Dingoes learn to open doors on a Campervan or were the occupants totally stupid and leave the doors open?

In the article i posted, there was a flap under the door the dingo could push through, it was a canvas flap or something, but able to be pushed passed.
The door was closed according to other reports
Sounds strange i know.... Likely a typical annex arrangement??
Either way, just shows how cunning and brazen dingos can beThe dingoes were believed to have crawled underneath a canvas flap over the doorway and taken the boy as he slept.
Especially when in a pack
The child would have been ripped apart once the rest of the pack got hold.
Ive seen what farm dogs do to foxes, ewww, its over very fast, bits go in every direction.

It's a bit of a conundrum, isn't it?
I've noticed that some news services refer to a "campervan", whereas other news services refer to a "camper trailer".
Poor sheltered little munchkins in the media most likely don't know the difference.
My bet is that it was a camper trailer, with lots of nice flappy canvassy bits on the ground.......something the dingoes on Fraser Island are probably almost genetically programmed to find these days.
Edit: ABC news referred to a "camper trailer" on the midday news today (Sat.).........terminology they have consistently used since this story broke.

Clueless media just being themselves..........clueless.

So is it just a coincident that this weeks "Anh's Brush With Fame" guest is a Lindy Chamberlain?
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
Interesting little snippet of (possibly) relevant information on the ABC (sorry, enf) news website today:
Toddler undergoes surgery after dingoes attack on Fraser Island
The dingoes snuck into the 14-month-old boy's camper trailer — which was parked outside the designated camping areas — just after midnight on Friday.
....................
He said the 15-kilogram dogs may not seem like much to some people, but they are "very capable predators, probably the most serious ones we've got in Australia".
"You don't make it to the top of the food chain by being stupid or incapable," he said. (How the hell did Homo Sapiens get there then????)
He said it was not unusual for dingoes to get into tents, eskies or camper trailers, but they usually take a loaf of bread.
"But to be that bold or confident to take the boy is certainly concerning," he said.
Even if the door is shut, they can open some.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Dingos are capable of doing anything for food , just cos they look weak or shy doesnt mean that they are. Ive seen them eat everything from a goanna to crabs and dead fish on the beach.
There are a few fenced camping areas on Fraser but good luck trying to get one at Easter.
I find it interesting.... And i am very thankful the child wasn't killed.
But lets for a minute consider it was taken away and eaten, because it wasn't far off that happening.
Can you imagine the uproar for culling of dingos on Fraser now
It would be a media circus all over again
let alone if there was no trace and the clothing wasn't found until weeks later
Who was going to believe a dingo went inside a closed door hey

If the kid was taken and eaten, the parents would be facing the same debarcle of Justice as the Chamberlains did all those years back. No doubt the finger would be pointed at them and even if forensics proved there was a Dingo and no charges were laid with the parents, there would always be innuendo and their lives would be finished too.
I'll bet Lindy is sitting back somewhere now saying. " See, I told you it was a dingo! NOW do you believe me?"
jeez this is a bit full on:| agreed with above^^
