So, why exactly can’t we call a boat a ‘she’ anymore?

Even the protesters who keep vandalizing a museum plaque to scrub out female pronouns in reference to a yacht would struggle to explain what the exact offense committed here is.
The Scottish Maritime Museum has announced that it will replace all references to ships in its displays with gender neutral terms – ‘it’ instead of ‘she’ – after a display about a 19th-century steam yacht called Rifle was defaced twice in recent months.

I think it is more likely economics, and not cowardice that has resulted in the relabelling of the plaque. I'm all for making the bastewards who vandalise it pay. But the museum may not have the finances to continually repair said vandalism, or pursue the idiots who vandalised it in the first place.

In a sane world (I barely remember what that was like ) the ppl responsible (yeah I know ) for running the show would up their security cameras and prostitute to the full extent of the law (yeah....I know ) the retards responsible for the vandalism, then sue for damages in civil court because we know the legal system would let them off with an award for being 'progressive'
