Lol here something even more disturbing:
what is up with microsoft man. It seems after 7 they just arent doing much right anymore. I hate mac but i am getting there
I gave up on windwoes after "patch tuesday" some time back. That reminds me, I just clicked on update for my system which triggered a few changes, Time I finish typing this, my system will be all up to date. Gee! I love Linux!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Just revived an old Dell Latitude D620 after I found that I had a Core 2 duo 64bit CPU lying around that fits in it. It had an slow single core 32bit in it all the years.
But that was not the reason.
This Lappy has a true COM port and is remarkably well built, so I slotted in a 500GB SSD and of course the first thing that went onto it was WinXP black edition, followed by Windows 7.1
The black editions are the version M$ should have made and have all the last updates and other goodies.
Then loaded it up with all my electronic software that loves a good COM port to access external hardware.
I still will NEVER go online with a Windows OS, period
So on went Kubuntu 18.04, I only do long term releases and then knocked myself out with all the free software on Discover
Never had a smoother install of a triple boot system. Was a lot of fun.
Actually Kubuntu did not (for the first time I noticed) shut down immediately but I had to wait almost a whole minute for an update to finish.
I hope they are not getting slack.
Edit:
Just realised that CPU is a candidate for a Hackintosh ...quadboot?
Nah I already have two old MacBookPros, several Mac minis, a Hackintoshed eeePC and a Hackintoshed Core2 duo desktop. I got to stop somewhere

I mentioned it also has Windows 7 installed on it which has TRIM support.
It has access to the XP partition and will clean it when required. Only use XP rarely but when I need it, I NEED IT.
