    Default Ed "Aussie50" Jones Dead

Sad to report that one of my favourite YouTubers Ed Jones, aka Aussie50 has taken his own life.
Always loved his work and clearly he was an autodidact. His washing machine destruction videos have been become the stuff of legend.
Vale Ed, the "Black Dog" needs to eradicated, and young men such as you need to be assured that there is always a reason to live.

I am really shocked and dismayed.
I was a subscriber of Ed's when he had about 600 and he was inspirational in me getting into YT. I conversed with him on a number of occasions and he gave me some really good advise.
The main one was only do it if you enjoy it and if you stop enjoying it don't bother.

He was a very clever bugger and I often envied his projects and more so his skills and abilities. Seemed he could do nearly anything he turned his hand to. He was a guy I would have loved to have met and spent some time with. I know he would have been fascinating to talk to and a casual chat would have been a learning experience in itself.
He will be sadly missed and I am genuinely saddened to hear this terrible news. I think of the guy often with different things and I will continue to do so with a heavy heart. I don't think there are a lot of young guys around like him any more which is a great shame. If he motivated some to be be more hands on which I'm sure he did with his projects, that would be a great legacy to him.

Dunno what is going on today, from the time I got up this morning it's been nothing but reminders of people lost. No special day of significance other than just painful memories.
Didn't see this one coming but I am very sad to hear this and just makes for a bad day to be a lot worse.

Thanks for the help and advise you gave me mate. You will be very sadly missed by many people whom you inspired, taught, entertained and admired you on many different levels.

    Never heard of him
But I'm saddened by the cause of death....
The world is a lot less happy place in 2019 than it was 30 years ago....
    Makes you wonder....

EDIT: Just watched a few of his vids, like the Christmas Vid, he wasn't a very happy chappy...
Bit too involved by the sounds.
With an obsession for guns and destruction

Had a school friend that was almost identical, same looking workshop, same type of person, same interests, also had rifles and made his own ammunition, also killed himself.

I'd not heard of him either, and sad to hear of his demise. That video shows just how strong those Front Loaders are, though I wonder what he did to it beforehand. You generally cant open the door once they've started, nor will they run without a door. It's all in the door catch. I've had front loaders for 40 odd years and would not have anything but. The results of this video are not really surprising, though.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

    Tribute from "bigclivedotcom"

Couldn't have said it any better.
During a very dark time in my life I would sit awake in the wee hours of the morning watching Aussie50. Made me think about how little I knew and how much this young man had to offer others.
His was the first YouTube channel to which I subscribed back in 2010.

I think he was also my first YT sub. I know he was how I discovered YT in the first place looking up something he had done a vid on and following the link from google.
He is the 2nd young person on YT I have followed and passed away. The other guy was another clever bloke that did a lot with model aircraft. He was lost in a motorcycle accident.

Just amazes me. Good young people are lost so early yet pieces of shit like me ( and far worse) outlive them by so far.
Just not right, fair or makes any sense.

Often the people that seem the happiest and have the most to live for are the ones that are in the most danger. Many people whom haven't been in the dark hell don't have any real idea how a person is feeling and even those that have can easily be thrown off.

Christmas is the 2nd worst time of year for me.
I have lost my shit too often at that time of year. It's like the car crash you know is coming but you can't do anything about. I usually just try to crawl into a little hole and try to be left alone till it's over but of course that's the last thing others will let you do. Sometimes I can handle it and sometimes not. It is not a good thing to keep pushing when I say no, I don't want to socialise at that time of year. Better to just leave me the fk alone and enjoy yourself and leave me in peace.

Christmas reminds me of Christmases past with big family get togethers. Was a day I loved every minute of. Over the years all these people I loved and were so close to me have all gone and I'm the only one left. Many of them were younger than me. It's anything but a happy time now, just a gut wrenching reminder I struggle to get though and have to fight with everything I have left not to wig out on my wife and daughter.

One thing in life I have learned is you never know what demons a person has, the anger, sadness , regrets, experience, resolve, priorities among other things and what that makes them capable of.

Really sad news. The world is a little less better off with him gone. Could say a lot more on the subject, but will just leave it at that. Farewell, Aussie50, thanks for the laughs.
