RIP Paul Darrow

Sad to hear of the death of Paul Darrow, best known as Avon in Blakes 7. I imagine a few of us here enjoyed that show back in the day.



Here's a link to the tv quiz show mentioned in the article which was his last tv appearance, plenty of talent on this show of a similar generation with a doctor, assistant, droid etc etc which is well worth watching in its entirety if you were a sci fi fan in the 70s and 80s.

That show had a unique ending where all the "goodies" were gunned down except for Avon / Paul Darrow and one never knew whether he lived or not.

Alexa is neither as smart nor as obnoxious as Orac. I loved Blake's 7. There are a few radio dramas and the like around. As I recall, some even have Paul Darrow in them. I was always hopeful that there would be a new series, but it never came about.
