As I have a working fusion reactor running from beginning on, I have enough energy to create large electrostatic and electromagnetic fields.
The electrostatic field charges the particles, the magnetic one guides them to the ship to be captured into the small physical funnel which is, like the reactor, at a certain distance outside of the ship for further processing.

This field also acts kind of like a Van allen belt and guides all small particles away from ships harm.
The fusion reactor should be able to gobble it all, up to Fe.

Yes I know, build a suitable reactor first.
Nature can do, it's about time we get on with it.
