Just imagine the totally different outcome if the accused had been a man

I have to say, as a young man a long time ago, I can't imagine any bloke of 16 yo wouldn't think all his Christmases had com.... arrived at once to have an intimate relationship, especially with an older woman and double especially with a number of female teachers at my high school. It was the daily talk with a number of them being the object of many teenage fantasy's.

Would it be different for a bloke pursuing a female student? I think it could be but there would be a lot of factors for each example of male or female teacher.
Yeah, maybe these days the guy could be gay and maybe the teacher could bring a lot of pressure but unless the teacher was a real cow, would be a fantasy come true of every kid I ever went to school with.

But times have changed.... Boy how they have changed.

Seems to me in this case it was consensual and the kid was of age. There are always a LOT of things the media does not report with these stories as well. They are only after sensationalism and controversy not the truth.

The fact that there were no witnesses, called and the boy was not complaining, makes you think the husband got wind of it and dobded her in.

I can think of 2 matters (albeit both in NSW) from the last 18-24 months, with similar circumstances, but where it was a male teacher and female student.

Student was over the age of consent (16yo), was in fact consenting, however the teacher was charged because they were a considered to be under his care.

In both those matters the male teachers were also acquitted.

I can also think of a matter in NSW from 2017 where a female teacher was jailed for having sex with a 17yo student.

In this case, didn't the affair start when he was under age ?
Or was this a different case.

I believe was was a teacher of his (she taught an drama teacher and not regular teacher) over some years, likely when the student was underage. However I believe in this matter all intercourses took place one he was 16yo and above.

Here we go again, She had sex with a 16 year old child (Boy) She had sex with him multiple times, and she is a WOMAN. If this was a MALE he would be charged with "Maintain a Relationships with child under 16 years) because the man had sex with the girl at least 3 times which carries a sentence In QLD minimum of 5 years Jail but Because the DPP is mostly run by Women ( Remember Women stick together) This Bitch does not get changed with "Maintain a Relationships with child under 16 years) but gets charged with the lessor charge "procuring a young person for carnal knowledge" which is easier to get off. I'm surprised that the Woman at the DPP didn't classify the Male Child to have a Mental issue because (remember he is a Male) Very easy to get out of this but you need the DPP to agree with this. Easy as pie as, Remember Women stick together. One Law for a Male and a different Law for a Woman. Don't worry this School teacher will have a interview for a story and make money.
My Solicitor Friend told me years ago in one case that a woman was charge with Sex crime with a Minor the Defense team used that this woman had a Husband that was limp so out of frustration she had sex with this young boy that his penis was always hard.
She was also found Not guilty.
Its a F..ken disgrace!!! Where is the Attorney General, ring up and Complain about this issue.

Ahhhhhhh, men, the single most discriminated section of society, except for the white, working, middle aged male.

Not sure what you’ve been smoking tonight, but the student was OVER 16 years of age...

How does one then explain how, in other similar offences, female teachers have been convicted where male teachers have been acquitted?

There is only one law. Each offence is made up of different circumstances, so of course each matter will have a different result. Nothing to do with either males or females being given preferential treatment.

Most cases the Law applies to a Person under 18 not 16 and this is the reason why I said this and not under 16 years. No I dont Smoke at all, do you?. The Police/DPP have no trouble to Charge a person with a offense and they drop the charges before the Trial. Have you notice this on the News for just about anything.

672 havent you noticed that the overloading of the courts means that the dpp gets easier convictions IE they have flimsy evidence so just chuck it all in front of the courts and some shit will stick on someone, dont matter if you are guilty or not ?????

No, you claimed the DPP went ‘soft’ on the female in the article, claiming a male would have been charged with offences relating to “maintaining a relationship with a child under 16yo”. However those claimed offences are irrelevant and have no bearing, as the child in this matter was over 16yo.

In other words, had the sexes been reversed, a male would have been charged exactly the same offence.

You'd stand more chance becoming a 10YO kid.
