    Default Glastonbury Festival 2019

    When: Wednesday 26 June 2019 – Sunday 30 June 2019
    Official Site:

    Line Up:

The Proclaimers play for 1 hour on Saturday night, i'm still trying to work out how they play for an hour with 2 songs
And don't even ask me what Miley Cyrus is doing there

    How to Watch:

Over 100 performances from across the main stages will be available on BBC iPlayer.
Beeb will be broadcasting over 30 hours of coverage across BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four.

So from previous years, BBC iPlayer on your Android Box or TV with a VPN gets you front row seats.
Or watch on your PC, laptop etc

As an interesting side note: Prodigy were booked for Glastonbury 2019
No doubt a band will pay tribute to Keith during the festival.

    Default 'kin Google

When I eventually managed to get everything set up and settled down to watch I get a pop-up from 'kin Google wanting existing or new account - to watch BBC. FFS. Sorry guys not a snowball's chance.

EDIT: Let's hope it is not needed for Wimbledon or there will be some very pissed off Australians.

If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

    You might have been lucky:

“5G Ready”? UK Government’s “5G Rural First”: “Dangerously High” Levels of Electromagnetic Field Radiation (EMF) in Southern England.

Glastonbury Festival-goers Are Walking into an EMF Minefield

This weekend, a group of us drove around the site of Glastonbury Festival in Pilton, Somerset UK). We had an electromagnetic field radiation detector that was continually bleeping alarmingly and flashing red, indicating that the EMFs it was detecting were way above World Health Organisation recommended safety levels. They were penetrating on to the main road which runs past the site, and there were several hotspots in the quaint little village of Pilton itself, including the village hall and the Working Men’s Club.

Correct this if I am wrong.

    1. You have to set up a BBC account - no problem doing that.
    2. Some fiddle to make BBC think you are in UK - no problem doing that.
    3. Try to play something - up pops the 'kin Google page.

How to circumvent that? I have no interest in Google, Yahoo, Facebook, M$, etc., etc.

    1. Correct
    2. Correct
    3. Never had that problem
(What device r u using when this occurs?)

For PC or Mac i just use the BEEBS extension in Chrome to do it all.
(you still need the BBC account)

For Android i use a Free VPN App to select UK region
I then use the BBC iPlayer App or Chrome Browser to search the BBC site for content
(you still need the BBC account)

There is also BBC Media Player App
(It might be an older App that directs you to iPlayer)
Description: The BBC Media Player works in conjunction with other BBC applications and websites to play audio and video content

So i guess its like a site scrapper

If you are having trouble with the UK BBC site for Glasto
There is already 2019 Glastonbury content on YouTube in 1080p on the Official BBC Music channel

You will also find scrapped catch up on other peoples sites too
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

Using a M8S with Chrome browser.

I will fire up the ODROID U3 with Debian Jessie and see if I have success - none yesterday!

Just try the concept on your laptop
    Then you know its works

Anything after that will be particular to your device
In saying that, BBC iPlayer is not meant to work on Android TV boxes with Live content, but it does, yet only in SD
If you want HD, just use the BBC iPlayer add on in Kodi, people are reporting Live HD streams doing it that way

Also, there are plenty of Android Apps that will allow you to watch BBC 1, BBC2, BBC 4 in HD for free with no VPN needed

Shits me to tears that everything needs an " account" these days. I don't need a fking account when there is no money changing hands and I'll pay cash or COD if I do have to pay for something..... Which I never do.

Just another way of invading your privacy to make money from selling your Data to target you with ads for shit you have zero interest in.

I have an email account for accounts. False name and details, only ever look at it when I need to register for this BS. Of course amazing that is all I ever use it for but it's got literally hundreds and hundreds of spam emails in the last few months since I last deleted everything in it.

Pfft, what ever, you can make a up a fake account
Its only so you can save Favourites or get reminders when a show you want to watch is about to start
Keep track of what you have watched and "resume" markers....

But if you want to take it as a personal attack, each to their own
You seem to understand more than i do

My wife and I have been watching Glastonbury here in Zurich, Switzerland. BBC 2 TV had a very good coverage - late in our day and through the evening!

Lots of happy young people jumping around at the event at Glastonbury.

Extremely hot here in Switzerland- even us Aussies are finding it tough going with the humid high temperatures.

    Ciao.

    Default Sunday at Glastonbury

This might help some, just watch it on TV via your favourite streaming app
Times are all Local London time

Kylie and Miley Cyrus – 6:00pm – 8:00pm, BBC One

BBC One’s first coverage from the festival eases us in to Sunday night with pop royalty, with Kylie Minogue’s debut performance (she was booked to appear in 2005 but had to pull out due to health reasons) in the now-traditional ‘Legends’ slot, promising plenty of career-spanning bangers.

Jeff Goldblum and Mavis Staples – 7:00pm – 8:00pm, BBC Four

There was a time before you would’ve guessed actor Jeff Goldblum to be a Glasto highlight, but here we are. The movie star-turned-jazz pianist leads an orchestra with whom he performs regularly in Los Angeles, and there’ll also be highlights from soul-gospel singer Mavis Staples on the Pyramid Stage.

Billie Eilish and The Good, the Bad & The Queen – 8:00pm – 9:00pm, BBC Four

Damon Albarn’s indie supergroup are pulling out all the stops for their Glastonbury performance – they’ll be accompanied by a Welsh choir and strings – and there’s coverage of young pop superstar Billie Eilish on the Other Stage.

The Cure and The Streets – 9:00pm – 12:30am, BBC Two

Sunday’s headlines are perfect for anyone wrangling with the existential torment of five days of partying. The Cure are appearing at the festival for the fourth time and celebrating their 40th anniversary. Elsewhere, there are highlights from sets by The Streets and Rex Orange County.

    Vampire Weekend – 9:00pm – 10:00pm, BBC Four

Highlights from the African-pop inflected set by Vampire Weekend – who recently released their fourth album, Father of the Bride – on the Pyramid Stage, and jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington’s performance on the West Holts Stage.

Janelle Monae and Christine & the Queens – 10:00pm – 12:30am, BBC Four

    Still awake? Good.

Let some of the closing performances from this year’s festival send you off to sleep, featuring sets by Janelle Monae on the West Holts Stage, and Christine & the Queens on the Other Stage.

My wife and I have just finished watching Kylie Minogue on BBC 1.

We should be happy that at least Kylie originated in Oz! She was absolutely brilliant and the crowds are absolutely huge.

A highlight of the Sunday afternoon - evening here.

Miley Cyrus is up on stage now!

The quality of the music at Glastonbury has been superb.

    Cheers.
