The mentality now is so many people HAVE to look at their phones every time they ping or make a noise some new FB post or text or whatever has been sent the Millisecond it arrives.
I have been in interviews and meetings when this has happened and the people will feel implored to send a reply when you are there talking to them.
Also been in many situation where my won phone will ring and I will reach in my pocket to shut it off or ignore it. People are visibly disturbed when I don't get it and ask, " Aren't you going to get that " like they have just witnessed a crime. I tell them no, I'm not a brain surgeon, no one is going to Die if they can't get me, if it is important they will keep ringing till they do.
You can see the look in some peoples Eyes how disturbing they find that.
I don't have any SM on my phone. Don't have much anywhere else really either. People will be talking to me and say " Didn't you see what XXX put On facepuke?" I ask when? They say a couple of days ago. I say no, I haven't looked at it in about 3 weeks, haven't been bored enough.
Sm has a LOT to answer for in My book.
The world would be better off with lead in the water than having the populations collective intelligence destroyed by SM. Gubbermint would do better to ban that in " Mobile" versions than worrying about Pirate movie sites and blocking them.
Yeah, same in Vic.
Plenty out with darker though
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
This is the factory hands free that comes integrated with the Renault Van. Try dialling a number with this setup with a scroll scrolling along the numbers, now that is distraction plus. Easier and safer to use the phone but this one gets you a fine if caught.
The hands free in my Ford Ranger is fantastic. It's also got voice recognition so dialling a number is easy.
