    Default Automated Username Change

We get the odd member asking if they can change their username for a variety of reasons, "Microsoft_Rulz" might have sounded good when you were 17 but now you are in your 30's it just doesn't seem as good an idea as you thought.
So rather than have to ask us via Helpdesk, you can do it yourself via your user control panel.

Premium Members can change their user name not more than once every 7 days up to a maximum of 15 times.
Registered Users can change their username not more than once every 21 days and a maximum of 5 times, but must have a minimum of 200 posts.

Realistically, its not there so you can change your name every week but we do accept that some people might be happy to be known under a new name for whatever reason. Your username history is visible to others in your profile. Premium Members are allowed to do it more often as they support the site, and are also less likely to make changes for "malicious purposes" as we do at least know who they are because they pay a subscription using Paypal.

Ahh, now i see there will be confusion.
I see that oceanboy has changed his Username to ol'boy, but that changes his username for all posts, however it does not reflect in quotes of that post in the past.
I expect future posts will reflect the change.

    & ol'boy you're not that old. lol.
    Cheers, Tiny

You're only as old as the woman you feel........now, who said that? . It could get confusing if old quotes do not reflect the new username, but, that could be a coding nightmare to fix.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
