    Default Signature Rule Violation

I just received a signature violation and am a bit confused

The signature was a link to show pictures of my cars and not advertising any business or services, if that breaks the rules I apologize.

The thing is its been there for 4 or 5 years, why is it suddenly become a problem ?

I tried to reply to you u MTV but apparently u dont accept any private messages or whatever

Can u you explain what was wrong

    thanks thomo

    Hi Thomo,

Sorry, I meant to open my PM to you to enable a reply.

It was a warning/notification... not an infraction issued.

    The rule is:

    4. Self promotion , or spamming of other web sites will not be tolerated. We will accept links to other sites ( with the exception of pornography and warez illegal download sites) if they are in the context and topic of a thread , however trying to promote or spam a website will result in the removal of the link and an Infraction or ban issued. We do not accept threads that contain referral links.

Your signature link was publicising a website, which as per the rules, is not permitted.

Your posts did not even have anything to do with the subjects or threads, as per the rule.

If it was a link posted in a thread/subject specifically about your cars, that would be acceptable, but not a permanent link to a website in a signature.

You've been fortunate it has remained there for such a long period of time.

All members, regardless of the their duration of membership are expected to observe the site rules they have agreed to abide by.

Whilst I appreciate your intentions, we simply can't make allowances for one and not others.

There is however an option, which is Premium Membership which is the only form of income that keeps Austech operating.

It's a timely reminder for all members to consider Premium Membership.

    Thanks
