    Default Mototrbo depot tool downgrade to r.260 or r.2.70

    Hello everyone!

    Which version of depot tool can i use to downgrade firmware to 2.70 or lowest?


    i tryed with v14 or v9 and get error message : unable to load boatloader,error 2824?!

    Gday mate, You have to put the radio in to flashzap download mode... for portables you hold down the emergency button + ptt and power on while holding them..for mobiles its a process involving 3 or 4 of the rear pins.. once done you should now see some text on the lcd ... one line being "ready to download" . using this method i have perfectly downgraded a dp4400, a dp4801 and a dm4601 from cps16.0 firmware back to cps14 and also cps15 firmware with no dramas, im unsure if depot 14 will let you roll back a radio that has been programmed with CPS 2.0 and the latest firmware????. Also remember to read and save a file of your tuning data with the tuner software before doing any upgrading/downgrading using depot and flashzap mode as flashing this way resets the tuning partition , once being the radio is finished flashed you then write the saved tuning data file back to the radio... have fun

    Unpack it in the same directory and run the motozap.bat,to put any MOTOTRBO radio in flashzap mode:

    Short these pins together...

    Pin 17 to ground (18)
    Pin 23 to ground (16)
