Default Carlton Untied Brewery SOLD to Japan!

Is any of this country not sold to overseas investors!?!?
I didn't even realise it was owned by a Belgiun company

The iconic Australian brewer CUB (Carlton & United Breweries), which produces well known beers such as Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Great Northern, Cascade and Crown Lager has been sold by its European owners to Japan's Asahi for $US11.3 billion ($16 billion)

It's a good thing that I drink Coopers.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Most of our income producing resources are owned by multinationals and pay only petty tax or none at all.

    All lost and gone now.

What really bothers me is that our tax funded infra structure like highways and electrical distribution eventually gets flogged off for less than it costed us.

Right now a local council is flogging off it's regional airport which was recently upgraded quite nicely at ratepayer's expense.
Most likely it will go to the Chinese. Is was actually producing a good income.
They want some flashy new council building, which will cost WAY more than the airport sell off can provide.
So the ratepayers will have to carry the burdon of the loss of income and pay forever the interest for the loan to build a new council.
They always managed to bribe IPART to approve every extra ordinary rate rise. Rates are already higher than in Sydney.

Nothing goes down with a whale steak like an ice cold crownie.
