Getting more out of my VAST satellite
I receive TV via the VAST service.. The installation has a dual LNB so I have a second, unused satelllite outlet in my lounge room. I assume that with an unencrypted satellite receiver, I could use the second outlet to watch Al Jazeera and perhaps other unencrypted services, perhaps even the ABC or SBS when my VAST box is being used to recorded a commercial channel. There are satellite receivers for less than $40 on eBay, does anyone use a cheap box to watch TV via the Optus satellite or can anyone advise me on my idea?

Moved thread to newbie section.
Other than the services you've mentioned, there's not much else available FTA from the D3/D10 sats.
Any satellite decoder which decodes DVB-S, DVBS-S2, MPEG4 would be suitable.
