    Default Goverment housing logic

I shake head in the logic behind this.

Lets remove a 100% working gas wall heater that was serviced by them 4 months ago.

Now we will remove a reverse cycle split system that was fitted by the tenant 12 months ago with approval from housing on the condition that if and when they vacate the house it has to stay.

Now put a new split system in-place of the 1 year old working one.

All of the heating decisions happened within 3 months time frame because it seams they have to much money.

Tax payers money been used in the best way oh and she is still waiting for the front door lock to be repaired for 6 months now.

Sigh! Seen it all before man....
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

    Hi Dave,

In my experience when shit like this occurs ( which is quite often) do NOT contact FACS directly, they will make your life a misery.

Get someone else to send emails on your behalf preferably someone with a title, such as "Senior Human Relations Consultant" or something similar - if you get my drift, (wink wink).

Do NOT use your normal email address when sending. Create a disposable one.

{Marie.New}@facs.nsw.gov.au is the district director for the hunter and central coast, find out the name of your representative and use that to ask/demand an explanation for their behaviour.

Make sure you cc in their boss and the politicians currently responsible for FACS.

Keep emailing until you get the response you need. Weekly works best.

    Good luck and happy emailing.

It took five years for me to get them to admit they had screwed up my rent payments even though Centrestink were paying them.

    Luv and kisses

    Hic.
Buy cheap and pay often, - there is no substitute for stupidity.

You wipe your bum after each crap, why don't you clean your teeth after every meal?

There is no shame in being uneducated nor in being stupid.
The true shame lies in knowing that you are and doing nothing about it.

Only the living worry about dying.

All you need do is imagine the ppl 'gainfully employed' by any gubermint dept, they would not be working there unless they had sufficient qualifications to find a real job...............like @ KFC

And besides, its not their money being spent, its all magic money from a never ending supply

I have friend that left Vic and now works in FNQ repairing these houses
    He said exactly that!
He replaces the sweep fan in the lounge
Next day the kids all swing off it with the motor going....
The blades all bend up and scratch the ceiling etc

They go back in, fix the ceiling, re paint, install a new sweep fan and ..................

Had a mate who used to be with dept of works. They had standing orders with a glass company for windows at the start of winter, and whoever supplied the floorboards for at the start of summer

In summer instead of opening windows they would just get smashed & in winter the floorboards would be ripped up & burnt. Every single year

Shouldn't all timber have been treated so to prevent destruction by vermin. Obviously the chemicals where not strong enough.

I am sure that there would be a chemical aside from lead what would slow down the wood damage.

When I used to repair TVs for a living, some of the houses I walked into would almost make you puke. One place in particular there was stuff embedded into the carpet, which was so full of grease and crap that it was more like spongey lino. Shitty nappies all around and it stunk of piss. Another place had what appeared to be, or at least I hoped it was, dog crap on the lounge room floor. Not just one, but two, one of which was near the TV they wanted me to take away and fix. I just told them sorry, it's too old and not worth repairing, and got out as quick as possible. One memorable service call was to an older, very large woman. She was sitting on the lounge, while I knelt in front of the TV doing whatever I was doing at the time. I turned around to ask her something, and she was sitting there on the lounge in one of those short cotton t shirt dresses, legs apart, and no knickers. I nearly lost my lunch.....

As for smashing up stuff, I have a couple of rental properties. The things that people do when it's not their property. Holes smashed in walls and doors, broken dunny bowl pets in the house, when the lease says "no pets". Filth and crap left behind when they vacate. All you can do is hope you can claim their bond, to cover some of the damage. The last one that was like that hadn't paid his rent for the last 4 weeks either, so with a stone hole through the bedroom window ($450.00 to replace), and half a skip of garbage left in the yard and in the shed, we lost out a bit there. It's almost not worth keeping rental properties these days, with the hassle it brings. If rental prices weren't so bloody high, I'd cash them in.

I know what you mean about filthy..

Went to do an install in a nice looking place in Sorrento, the dog hair in the hallway was up to the top of the skirting board along the edges. In the middle it was crushed down to about 30% of that height

Another place they we feeding the dogs on the lounge room carpet, no plate, no bowls, just upend the can of Pal onto the floor & off they went

Some people are worse than pigs.

Has a car turn up one day for some audio work it was refused to be worked on until the 1/2 consumed burgers and the rubbish on floor including a used tampon was removed and car cleaned.

I would be embarrassed more to the point I wouldn't present my house or car in a state like that
