Default Can anyone identify this device.

Hi all, I was going through my junk box of electrical devices and came upon this device shown in picture.
Can anyone ID item this as I do not remember where I got this from, it has a power wire to it where the centre illuminates once powered.

Looks like some kind of active antenna to me, what is on the other end of the cord?

Ah one of those things it's either a thingymebob or a doohicky or maybe a whatsit.

It looks like it may have been a antenna for a paging car alarm. But if it's in your junk box and you cant remember what it is then it's junk.

The chord is power I presume, only red and black wire with no plug/lugs of any kind fitted. If powered up you do here a relay click and two red msd leds illuminate through the transparent circle cover.
I do agree with antenna theory.

Beat me too it. It looks a lot like the GPS/4G tracking antenna that was on my work car. (and kept on having mysterious failures).
