Windows RIP

Well, after 34 years of using Microsoft Windows, I have finally removed it from my two main PC's and installed.....wait for it.....Linux!

Up until a few months ago, I had been running Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1 with very few problems, all of which were minor and thus tolerable.

In the last several months however, Microsoft has worked overtime to produce patch after patch after patch, some of which took considerable time to download and become resident.

Having become used to Linux some years ago, I decided it was time.

I am now happily running Linux on a desktop and notebook computer as well as continuing to use a Mac tower, which naturally, uses OS X.

Enough is enough.

Microsoft, you finally wore me down!
