    Default XTS2500 FW11 Fail/ Moto Service Bulletin

Hello all, I've been in contact with a shop to provide a tuning and alignment on my XTS2500 M2 -BN. According to them, the current FW I have, 11.01, has a known issue that can cause it to spontaneously have a fatal FAIL condition. They reference Motorola FSB10203. I can't find that bulletin, nor any posts about problems that people have had. Knock on wood, the radio has worked reasonably well for me so far. Does anyone have any link to that FSB or more information/wisdom? Or are they just trying to up sell the $120 Firmware update.. Thanks in advance!

there are other ways to upgrade the radio without spending the $$$. No matter what way you upgrade you should upgrade to the 20.01 latest.

Thanks for sharing that. I'm on 11.00.01, so I guess I can breathe a little. Without derailing the original thread, what did moto improve between what I have and the 20.01? I've been quite happy with the radio, and am running the latest CPS version.

To much to type out you would need all the release notes between 11.00.01 and the current release.

Generally speaking if the unit is operating fine and here is no heavy reason to update then dont bother. The V20 CPS and V20 firmware is stable and has no known issues.
