    Default Mobile phone sims.

    Hi everybody,

I am looking at changing my mobile plan and hoping to keep the same mobile number I have had for years. I have had a pay as you go phone/text Dinosaur plan with optus for a million years.

I am just wondering if anybody knows about any reasonable plans which don't cost an arm and a leg. Amaysim have a 1gb download and unlimited text and standard calls for $10.00 month and Dodo have 6gb at $20.00 a month unlimited talk and text. If also there are any plans with overseas calls. I heard with ALDI you get 100 mins. overseas calls to certain countries.

    Thanks in advance.

If you want Telstra and Cheap:

$12.50 a month / unlimited texts and calls / unlimited international calls and texts / 6.5GB a month

UNLIMITED STND CALLS & TEXT TO 25 SELECTED DESTINATIONS:
    Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada,
    Chile, China, Colombia,
    France, Germany, Hong Kong,
    India, Indonesia, Ireland,
    Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand,
    Pakistan, Philippines,
    Singapore, South Africa, South
    Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United
    Kingdom, USA, Vietnam

PLUS 1200 STND MIN & TEXT TO 30 SELECTED DESTINATIONS:

    Afghanistan, America Samoa,
    Brunei, Cambodia, Cyprus,
    Czech Republic, Denmark,
    Finland, Greece, Guam,
    Hungry, Iceland, Iran, Iraq,
    Israel, Kuwait, Laos,
    Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico,
    Mongolia, Nepal, Norway, Peru,
    Puerto Rico, Romania, Slovak
    Republic, Spain,
    Sri Lanka, Sweden

1200min is 20hours, so 20 hours should be enough time for that important call to Afghanistan or Iraq

Mind you, most people just use a data app to call overseas these days
Still, nice that they include it

It always amazes me, that they never have Papua New Guinea in the International calls list
They are our closest international country.... We give them $600 Million in Aid money per year, you'd think they would let us call for cheap.

Depends on where you live and travel, Once you leave the big smoke, Telstra have always been the best for coverage. Not so sure about that these days, though.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

With Boost if you live rural or travel you do get the FULL Telstra network, unlike other MNVO's.
You can compare coverage here for all networks:
    https://www.whistleout.com.au/MobilePhones/Guides/who-has-the-best-mobile-coverage
We travel extensively and have Telstra and Optus. You can see by the coverage maps Optus coverage is fairly abysmal in many rural/remote areas compared to Telstra.

Thanks guys for the sim recommendations.

Can you use your old mobile phone number you have had for years when you say move from Optus to a lot of these other phone companies?

Boost has access to the full Telstra network, not the wholesale network used by all others. Coverage wise, going with Boost is essentially no different than going with Telstra itself.
