    Exclamation windows admin password recovery

    i would like to recovery a windows xp admin password i dont want to change it i just want to recover the password can boot from the cd i dont think i can install any software can anyone help ?

    You could download a linux iso to burn to a cd to reset local passwords

    Here's a start or try googling it mate!

    Use Hirens Boot CD and you can remove the password altogether.

    rastus was probably after hacking to administrator's account without changing it, because if the password is changed the admin will find out

    It has worked on every XP machine I have tried it on, but I have to admit they all had easy passwords ie names with none or one or two numbers added.

    I haven't tried it on vista, it looks like vista takes longer or may not work on it.
