Ditto, you lot. I'm heading to No2 son's for a birthday party for his eldest this arvo, and will be seeing No3 son there too.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Nice for some, a sad and painful reminder for others.

It can be a shock these days

I am lucky enough to have a son living at home (in his 20's) who crawled out of his bedroom at about 10 o'clock and said Happy fathers Day before going back to bed straight after.

Makes me sad to hear things like that.
I hope my daughter and I will remain close but sometimes I wonder where the fk we went wrong with raising her the way she carries on with the self centred attitude. I have a sook to other parents about it and they tell me they feel the exact same way and get the same crap from their kids. Seeing they are all early 20's and still living at home, you think they might be a LITTLE more appreciative.

Don't know what got into her today. The Mrs and I were busy with some important things we had to do online and when we emerged out the office she had moved and cleaned and organised and basicly done a LOT of work around the place.
So nice when that happens but we'd really often just be very happy if she didn't talk to us like shit.

There was one promising thing she said last night at fathers day Dinner, her boyfriend wants to buy a house/ unit with her. She is telling him no. Trying to hide the fact I don't like him, I said why not? It would be a good investment for your future. She said I don't want to buy one with him, I want to buy one with you and Mum.

Discussing it on the way home I said we either did something right or she turned out OK in spite of me.
