Default Some new Laws for Victorians

The regulation also impose on-the-spot fines of:

$495 for transporting any farm animal unable to bear weight on all limbs, unless accompanied by a veterinary certificate that states it is fit for transport.

$661 for transporting animals without access to water for longer than the times specified in the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines, which vary from 24 to 48 hours depending on the type of livestock.

$330 for transporting farm animals in passenger vehicles.

Higher court-imposed penalties can also be applied.

$413 fine for leaving their dogs in the back of the ute when the mercury climbs to barely more than 28C.

A fine of $413 has also been imposed for anyone who leaves animals unattended inside a motor vehicle for more than 10 minutes on days when the temperature is above 28C.

The draft regulations also impose an on-the-spot fine of $413 or court imposed penalty of $1652 for anyone who allows a sheep’s fleece to grow to a length greater than twice the average annual growth of that breed or more than 250mm, whichever is shorter.

28 Degrees hey.... Police obviously training as Weather Men now
Maybe they will carry a standard police issue thermometer

I'm just thinking of all the those utes and dual cabs with dogs cages on the back, let alone the trusty ol farmer and his broken ol ute with the dogs in the back

So, what they are saying is it's better for the dogs to run behind the Ute when the temp is over 28c.
$495 for transporting any farm animal unable to bear weight on all limbs, unless accompanied by a veterinary certificate that states it is fit for transport.
So now we are all going to have to get a death certificate from the vet when we bring our chops over to ms Carten's for our barbie.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

    Could be worse....
You could live in WA and get caught with more than 50kg potatoes.
