The descent into insanity continues...............
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

I'll definitely support his shop. Must look him up for a visit. I wonder if he'd put up a sign that said "NON KOSHER" if there would be such a fuss.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

The Muscum are just offended because the butcher wouldnt pay the Halal tax
The area I live has a little shopping village. Small Coles, butcher, restaurant, newsagent etc etc. Couple years ago, the butcher was taken over by halal, no pork, people. I never bought meat from them. Watching how many people actually spent money there, I wondered how they stayed in business for the 12 months they were there. Seems people in the area, while they didn't speak openly about muso's (which in my area are only a couple of families, so far), made their mark by not buying meat from them. Shop was taken over by asians, whose meat is good, and they are doing well. We also had a take away in the same village that was there for years. The owner sold it to middle eastern people, who kept the doors open later in the day and Thursday nights. Sold basically the same food as the previous owner, but halal. Business closed it's doors 12 months later. Now we have a middle eastern pizza shop, which opened just a few months ago, selling pizza's with no ham, bacon products. Wonder how long he will be open?
You can learn alot using Google, and the search button.....
Pizza without ham, bacon or Canadian Bacon is just criminal.
Doesnt belong in this country :Pizza without ham, bacon or Canadian Bacon is just criminal.
You really have to wonder why they bother ? Apart from not selling much, they also have to pay for Halal Certification. Across the globe, the halal industry is valued at $3 trillion. In Australia, it brings in about $8.5 billion, $1.5 billion of which resides in the meat sector. It's a major rort, and Australian Islamic Organisations make a ton of money from it.
Halal has been big in the news in recent years and its not hard to see why. Half the stuff in our supermarkets, if you look very closely with a magnifying glass, has a Halal certification mark
Interestingly, rather than edit the above, I just had a look through the pantry and there is nowhere near as much Halal certified stuff as there was back in 2015 when I bought the Halal choices handbook to see what was in it. I also just saw on line that Kellogg's stopped paying certification in 2017 on all its products. Woo Hoo ! There was an enquiry instigated by Pauling Hanson and even Sam Dastyari stated that "some certifiers are nothing more than scammers". It seems to have scared some off.
I did notice that good old Vegemite, a national icon, is still paying.
You will notice it says AFIC, which is Australian Federation of Islamic Councils who are sitting on 65 million dollars of assets.
It seems to be the minority controlling the majority and if any one complains there been racist.
Death smiles at everyone. Grumpy old men smile back.

A little late commenting I know, so if the sign had said “Halal Certified”, by the logic displayed in that article, we would be able to have it taken down, as it would be mocking us “non-muslims”, correct???
Cheers

Sounds about right, to whom do we complain?
There is no such thing as being "Non Halal" certified. The butcher was obviously taking the piss, and trying to appeal to the vocal minority. But it's all about reading and comprehension, so pretty much lost on his target audience.
Yeah but he got some free adverts on austech though
