Default Using a VPN to buy Airfares from another country?

I know this is a fairly common thing to do, although i have never done it.

So asking here if anyone has purchased airfare tickets this way, and did you save any money doing so?
Any pitfalls if you do this?

    Cheers

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

    Default

I ordered Ryan Air tickets when my wife went to London and suddenly decided to do an extra trip to Norway. Used UK VPN, tickets cheap as chips, like 30 pounds return.

I have no clue how you could do anything with Australia as the departure port though.
