    Default Logging gam file HSNs

I have been logging usind a DM500s connected to a PC with IRD_LogExtract. I am trying to log the HSNs of Nova, mcme and austar gam files and as yet I have not had a hit. I also have been logging a HSN of a sellers card with no hits also. I have had hits on expired spongebob and red fox HSNs, which confirmed that my setup was working.

Has anyone managed to get a hit from any gam file HSNs?

Does the HSN matter for the sellers card?

    Two things to check.

    1. Do you have the correct EMM sperator bytes for that stream

    and
    2. Do you have to correct EMM PID.

To check the pid, use dvbsnoop on the DM box

While one a channel for the service you wish to log, run
    dvbsnoop 1 -n 1

You should get the following ... I added a pointer to the bit needed

    vbsnoop V1.4.50 --

    ------------------------------------------------------------
    SECT-Packet: 00000001 PID: 1 (0x0001), Length: 24 (0x0018)

    current_next_indicator: 1 (0x01) [= valid now]

So how do you find the correct EMM sperator bytes for that stream?

Absolutely! The card cannot continue to be updated, & hence active, unless it has a valid HSN & ProvID because they receive updates via both.
There can't be a very big pool of valid details being used for sellers' cards & it only takes 1 set of those details to be discovered by providers to take out a whole mass of those cards!

Thanks that confirmed what I believed, the reason for my question was that if there was a valid HSN from a gam file that I might be able to send inividual lines from a file to achieve a card with a valid HSN and prov.ID. Maybe I'm just clutching at straws.
