    Default Win 10 update problem

    Hello. I can't update. I have a Windows 10 error, version 1903 - error 0xc190012e.

    make sure you have no sd cards and no usb devices connected.

    try defragging disks

    are you running a ssd drive ?

    I tried all 5 steps. Don't work with my computer.

    Command chkdsk C: /f /r /x and SFC /scannow freezes the computer.

    What computer part can the problem be with? This is a desktop computer.

    try resetting services run this in the command box as admin[copy and past it in] and reboot the computer when finished and try updating again

    net stop wuauserv
    net stop cryptSvc
    net stop bits
    net stop msiserver
    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
    Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
    net start wuauserv
    net start cryptSvc
    net start bits
    net start msiserver

    If chkdsk & SFC freeze the PC, it's likely your HDD is failing & has corrupt sectors.

    Try running sea tools - , or the HDD checking tool from the manufacturer of your drive.
    It may repair it long enough to clone it to a new drive.
