    Default Notebook Closing Windows

Can a dead flat battery cause w10 to just shut down even when the power is connected?

The battery in my daughters machine is dead. After 20 mins or so Windows just shuts down. My usual culprit for random shutdowns is heat, but I just don't detect that this is the issue here.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

typically, yes, some more modern lappys wont even turn on without a decent battery, altho lots of older jobs will run even without one

so i guess it starts ok with a bit of battery but as it fades, zzzzzzzz

buy a new replica, $15-20 on ebay

Try and boot with a live Linux USB. You may not, then, need to replace the battery, unless you need to use it.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Fixed it with Malwarebytes. Then gave her and the boyfriend a lecture on malware.

The f*cking thing was riddled. Also ordered a replacement battery.
