    Default Toshiba

Have a toshiba tecra A6 that has wireless, got it working at home, I took it to a friends house to connect to a belkin wireless router it shows that it is connected however IE & firefox don't work. When I looked at the network status it has a different IP range. It is configured to obtain IP automatically, even when I manually configure the IP settings it still comes up with the old settings from home. It's got me beat, any takers? What to do?

If I remember right you can have windows control the wireless and then you can have some other software doing the job (like some Toshiba software)
I have had this a lot on some Acer laptops LOL you think you are going crazy

It could be an incompatibility in wireless protocols between the card and the access point.

But doesn't explain the IP settings going back to the home settings
I am sure he has another program controlling the wireless side of things,he needs to set it so windows manages the wireless settings
