Default NX4v2 - case tamper switch

I am installing a Reliance 8 alarm and wanted to plug in the case tamper switch.

Would I be right in assuming it doesn't matter which direction I plug the 2 pin tamper switch connector to the J12 pins.

Also had a question about the fuse on the board.
I noticed it is soldered on, Is it normal to have them soldered on or is it because I just chose a cheap alarm?

    Any assistance would be appreciated
    thanks

    Default

Doesn't matter which way the tamper connects.

It may look like a fuse but not sure it actually is.
