Eco anxiety is the lastest fad !
But how do you know that you are suffering from it? the symptoms seem to be similar to the stuff that falls out the back of male cows .
It appears that heaps of politicians have it in abundance I think I might be missing out ,Anyone else in the same position as me .

Look Here -> |
Tell the kiddies to harden the fvck up and watch the movie "The Day After".
"Oh boo hoo, my world is dying and everybody else is responsible for it."
Here, have a biodegradable gluten free tissue and have a good fvcking cry.
Baby Boombers and Gen X didn't have that luxury. When our world was dying we were told, "You've got 30 minutes to kiss your arse goodbye!"
If you were unlucky enough to survive the day after, then you had glorious future of becoming a hood ornament for a road warrior.
Anxiety ... this is what anxiety looked like in the 70's and 80's.
Yes I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
Agreed but when Kennedy and castro had their fingers hovering ???? that was the 60s as a teenager we all got lined up on the rugby field to look for Russian bomber planes ? wtf happened then ?
Only watched that again the other day
I'm sure you mean Khrushchev, Castro didn't have much of a button to push (unless of course, you believe some of the conspiracy theorists, then the button was a trigger of a gun pointed at Kennedy's head in Dallas), was that what the ???? was for?

You think Grizzly Dumbird's speech to the UN was Brilliant and you join in climate Extinction Protests?
That would be pretty Definitive to me.
Those that are that far gone need to be put in the Rubber room so they can't hurt themselves or annoy the living shit out the sane people whom haven't fallen for this climate crap.
Yeah ?!
Care to elaborate what has changed about that?
Only difference I see today is that we have a mentally challenged unstable leader in charge of the button on one side who is constantly being outwitted by the more intelligent leader with possibly the faster nukes on the other side.
As for the OP, it is a fashion thing that will pass. When I look in my crystal ball I see many more will suffer(possibly fatal) from social media anxiety than climate change anxiety.

Forget "The Day After"....get a copy of THREADS, a British movie on the same subject. Far more scary as it goes into what life would be like in England over the decades following such a war.
It was advertised as the first and only movie shown on TV in the 80's without an ad break....scary stuff.
Trailer....
P.S. I remember the day I saw The Day After. When I walked into the theatre it was bright and sunny. When I came out depressed it was grey and overcast. I remember thinking.."F*ck, it's happened!!" ......... hahaha
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.
Threads was indeed scary - you'd be better off to be at ground zero when the bomb dropped.
Bringing back memories of Peter Garret and the 'Nuclear Disarmament Party' now and I recall him actually doing the intro before 'Threads' was aired.
Duck & cover O_o
NO... nothing is more scary than reality and right now they are certainly at it again:
...and thanks again Trump for this:
I have posted years it ago and I will post it again: we (Australia) are a perfect geo/politically located sacrificial target for a proxy nuclear war between USA and the Russia/China-combo.
I don't trust any of them but I have the least trust in the 'shoot first ask later' deceiving USA and their stupid lapdogs that currently call themselves OUR government.

I would still rather have the US in my corner than Russia OR China. At least they speak english (of a fashion). I fully concede either side would not hesitate to throw us under the bus however. As for your "proxy nuclear war", well ..... I'll just say I feel you are displaying a little too much anti US paranoia.
The weapons themselves don't really scare me as much as the people in charge of them....ALL of them. MAD is a mad sounding policy, but IT WORKS!! It's the only thing that has kept people my age from being in a full blown war IMHO. If they want to waste their money building and developing more, then so be it. I refuse to be bothered by it anymore.
I heard this description somewhere 30 odd years ago "The US and Russia are like two people standing in a basement up to their waists in gasoline. One has 9 matches and the other has 10 and it's absurd to think one is ahead of the other."
....says it all.

I don't share your trust in that flaky, self centred retard and his motley crew from the US.
At least with Putin I know roughly where we are standing and he has done arguably more for peace in the middle east lately than the US.
That description is out dated. There are now a few more players who are holding matches in their 'gasoline' stockpiles these days, and one match is enough. This makes the risk of a nuclear war more likely than back then.
Strange that the millennials and later do not seem bothered by these possibilities and need to invent other strange reasons for their anxiety.

1. Never said I have faith in the US. I said they would probably throw us under the bus. Putin has done nothing but threaten or fill voids, moving in like Russians always have. I suppose in this he is believable as in my view he is just a cold blooded killer, pure and simple. But NOT a moron like Trump.
2. The weapons don't scare me as they already exist. That there are other players is irrelevant, the situation is basically the same.
3. Millenials are anxious because WE created a mythical, unsustainable socialist based society that increasingly discourages independent thought and self reliance. I'm as guilty as everyone else in that regard.

Yes failed there too with the now 30y/o daughter but I have heavily focussed in teaching my sons a strong DIY and DYOR approach to things.
This maybe easier with boys than girls. Cooking, sewing or any craft ... that seems banned in today's (female) world.
In reality is only about the career and money and consume more than they earn because society tells them too.
If people only could discover how satisfying it is to figure out something on your own.

How do you see that was created and how do you see yourself as being partially Responsible?
A HUGE regret I have with my kids is being what I now see was too hard on them to think for themselves and be self reliant. I was raised mainly by my grandmother. I had to teach myself everything and I tried to force that too much on my kids instead of doing what I should have and helping them more.
They turned out all right despite me but I think the majority of parents of our age and older in the main did encourage thinking for themselves and getting off their own arse.
Maybe you are being too hard on yourself?

I see your point, but no. I wilted and just voted for a football team for years....and THAT was the problem. It still is for this country.
The ONLY influence we have is our vote and it's a pitiful influence. And the only time I have ever seen a politician scared is when he thinks he won't get enough of them and the overpaid, endless payrise gravy train will end. They throw red herrings in your path to save themselves. Things like "you pay peanuts you get monkeys." Well, f*ck em, we've GOT monkeys already and if you feed monkeys caviar then all you'll end up with is the same fat f*cking monkeys.
Voters, me included, have a lot to answer for.
