Default "It's a cliche to say but the world is really, really small"

... "We really have to take care of it."

These guys certainly have the right to claim that after travelling around it in a tiny Cessna:

This is a nice little story in the news for a change, that is mainly why I posted it.

And I am certainly going to dream tonight of how it would be like travelling around the planet in a 185.

I can still remember that plane from my 1960's childhood in Australia, dreaming of having one when I grow up, while the other kids wanted the latest Valiant.
My dad bought a Valiant, he hated it because it drove like a pig and sold it for a VW fastback.
So I hung out more with my uncle who had a top of the range Holden.
He was a banker and also a builder/bricklayer and he had a huge messy garage full of stuff and I had the freedom to do there what I like with it, pure paradise
When he became my God Parent he also bought BHP shares for me.
We left Australia in 1969 he sold the shares and gave me the money, which is a big shame.

Today those shares would be worth enough to buy that Cessna !!!

However my wife wouldn't let me buy and fly it anyhow...

My first flight was in a cessna when I was about 3. My sister was dating a pilot back then. She did not end up marrying him. Flying one around the world. If that floats you boat, why not. Not my idea of fun though. I'd happily sail around in a yacht, but not in a cessna - too noisy.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I wanted to sail back to Australia(from Europe) in a catamaran but I got married instead.
