Some say it's disinformation. Who knows /shrug

Look Here -> |
has patented a compact fusion reactor. Called a , if it is as good as they claim, we may be one step closer to "free" energy.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Interesting article. Not to ruffle feathers but posted already..

Hmmm!
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Madness"

Interesting they should patent it. Once you patent something the technology is out there to be copied. They would be handing this to China, India and Russia who don't give a shit about copyright, patents or intellectual property.
Makes me think 2 things:
Either it's not what it's cracked up to be or needs a LOT of development. The last thing the US would want is the Chinese and Russians to have is free energy that would be used to increase their military power and leverage as a world power.
Secondly, might be some sort of a ruse to throw other countries off the scent or some sort of PR stunt.
If they didn't patent it they could keep it secret. The fact the US Navy has put it out there makes me Very Sus about it's real worth.
As they say in the classics, I'll believe it when I see it..... Running and supplying power to homes in this case.
space travel to alpha centuri next year for a holiday anyone??

Your suspicions are correct. This is fake news. The real kind of fake news.
There is no actual news here and this article is generated via a news clearing house and is probably paid for by Lockheed Martin.
Yes I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
As mentioned in the other thread, it's a fake news story from a news clearing house probably paid for by Lockheed Martin.
It's not likely to be counter intelligence of any kind. Rather Lockheed Martin might be bidding for a government project or they are about to go ex-dividend and hoping to minimise any share devaluation.

Yes, Thanks. Fake news is a problem nowadays. Getting harder to find the truth on the net.
Just like this link below... have a look, had me looking at all angles to debunk it.. still bloody awesome though.

This is one of the best lectures on how to spot fake news and how it works.
This isn't the Donald Trump kind of fake news ... that's what normal people call bullshit and they can usually spot it a mile off.
Real fake news is basically a kind of subtle advertising.

Maybe the mods could merge the two threads.

No it is not a 'fake' news story.
There is rarely any totally fake news, just news that covers certain information without covering all the information, thus wildly twisting it's interpretation.
However the term 'fake' news defined by Trump is mostly real news that he is not comfortable with, but that is a very different story.
The patent is real although still pending.
The device does not work.
That is not the point.
One day somebody might get Fusion working and if it contains anything described in this patent, the US Navy can then block it's production and use or charge incredible fees.
It looks like many are playing this game.
Right now a Google Patents search with the term "Nuclear Fusion" reveals 9,392 results.

I did my own Google search. It is easier if Google plays nice. lol
Yes, the patent is real, although it has been rejected.. as Uncle Fester says, it doesn't work, Yet !!!
I have a copy of the letter that was handed into the patent office which a CTO of the Navy stepped in to vouch for the patent after it was rejected by the patent office.
I'm happy to post if interested..

I've merged the two threads.
Johnno's was the first thread started, so they are both merged into this one.

My apologies, i downloaded the wrong file. After reading it i believe it's not for a fusion reactor..
it's for a "inertial mass reduction device" not the same thing (Alien technology) /rolls eyes.
I'll try and grab the correct file if they let me back in again.. lol
It was developed by researcher called Salvatore Cezar Pais of the Naval Air Warfare Center. same guy with both patents.
A Google search of his name will lead you the right direction.
