    Default Starliner Abort test

I hope they go full mythbusters action with this one. Put Buster in the capsule with some go pro cameras or live streaming cameras and then let everybody enjoy the ride. Somebody got to put some pressure on Space-X with their live grid fin and engine cameras.

Space-X's looks like something from the 50's !

Even the way it flies is almost 1950's kind of thinking.

I have to wonder what Space-X's R&D think tanks look like.
Do they invite a whole heap of people around from DARPA and DEFCON, spike their coffee with LSD and record the results?

20 years ago if somebody had suggested what Space-X is doing, we would have said, "no, you can't do that!"
Now we just say, "oh hell no, how are you doing that?"

It's tried and tested. Although it never needed to be fired on a man rated system, thankfully. Why reinvent the wheel?

An excerpt from the episode of "Moon Machines" that deals with this................

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

You may be right, lol. The way Elon explains the Starship project setup & how the engineers work in the beginning of the following video, he sounds like he's speeding or maybe just very excited about it all.
At 9:50 in the video he also says "if someone can show that we're wrong, that would be great."

I would go much further back, even to the time of Jules Verne 1880.
And that is the beauty of the whole thing.
It looks and flies just like in the SciFi literature we all grew up with, that moulded our dreams.

Just amazed that it took so long to make a space ship that can land on earth the proper way with thrusters then refuelled and sent off again

... now when will Elon finally make his Tesla fly also within earth's atmosphere ?!
