Default How to improve wifi coverage

Recently i got connected to NBN . Due to the existing cabling that has been done at the premises, the NBN modem was installed inside my bedroom ,hence had to connect the wifi router where the NBN modem is.

The Wifi coverage to the living room is not that great. I have another NBN ready wifi router.

Is there a way for me to improve the wifi coverage may be by utilizing the additional WiFi router i have ?

You can muck around and get flakey results

Or just buy this and use you second router as a WiFi Access Point in your living room

You will have plenty of options doing it this way
And the connection will be rock solid

Is there any existing outlet in the living room?

The best option if possible is to relocate the modem/router to a central location in your home.

I would leave the NBN modem where it is and move the Wifi router to a central point.

I rarely use the WiFi component of my router.

I installed a ubiquity bullet, 1 watt into an external antenna.

No issues with coverage for several 100 meters.

I have numerous old ADSL router/modems that I use to provide additional wired points and extend the wifi signal. My NBN router has four ports two are for the printer and computer in my office, the other two are used to feed my old modem/routers to give access to the rest of the house. Wife has a computer and Fetchbox in the bedroom (fetchbox hardwired to network) I have a computer that acts as a server in the lounge room that is hardwired to the network and a Telstra TV and laptop there, too. Out in our rumpus room which is a steel shed that has been lined I have another modem router (also hardwired) set up for wifi access out there.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Thank you so much for the response. I'm not a network expert so please bare with me for asking this.

Considering the NBN modem is inside my bedroom, i assume i need to connect this device directly to the NBN modem and then connect the wifi router using RJ45 network cable and place it in the living room.

I can do that but then i will not be able to close the bedroom door. Is there a solution for that ?

I have a foxtel outlet in the living room but it has no NBN connectivity. As i am renting the apartment the wiring has been done before i moved in, so there is no way for me to redo the wiring which will cost me a fortune.
If the wiring was done when i was in then surely i will not allow to do the cabling in the bedroom.

Thanks for the input. I think i need to find a way to run the network cable from inside the room to outside without damaging the door.

I have a 5 months baby in my bedroom. So my only worry is if the radio waves could impact her. If not this will be a super equipment.

For sake of everything you have just mentioned

    If you are somewhat handy
Go buy some Cat 5 or Cat 6 networking cable and move your NBN point to a better location in your house
The cable will cost you $20 if that

Run it under the house or in the roof space or how ever you can.
Then just deploy the NBN Modem/Router in your lounge room (or where ever makes the most sense)

Here you go, 20meters for $14

You won't have to know anything technical this way, no configuring etc
Just move the unit and be happy

The powerline adapter that ol' boy mentioned in an earlier post means you don't have to modify anything
